Battle for the Crown
Build your army. Conquer your opponent.
The Terrain
The Board
Seem familiar? It should. The Terrain uses the standard pattern to orient game pieces. The symbols scattered across the board represent bonus tiles, further enhancing gameplay with special rules. While the board is larger than its precursors' (at 10x10 versus 8x8), bonus tiles and game cards help to accelerate gameplay. The enemy threat demands a more urgent pace at times.
Fierce Combatants
Game Pieces
Yet another familiar feature with a twist. Vie’s game pieces represent your Combatants and their mission is to lay siege to the enemy’s castle. A unit moves fairly slowly on its own, but at any point they are ripe to be embodied by a Combatant card. Then it gets interesting. While an unembodied Combatant moves at the slow pace of a typical pawn (i.e. Chess), once embodied by a card, the Combatant can become a fierce and unbridled entity.
Valiant Heroes
Game Cards
Game cards make gameplay dynamic. They come in various forms, but the most prominent are the Valiant cards. A game piece that is embodied by a Valiant card moves and behaves according to the card’s specifications. Cards often come with bonuses that temporarily modify the rules. With playing cards, a combatant's potential expands immensely. Wield a bow and arrow, or magic, or become an ice-spitting dragon with playing cards. Go further by collecting and trading!
